Our Story

Owner & Proprietor Carmilla Reznikov, first opened Hotel Carmilla's doors in 1732 to those escaping persecution and accusations of vampirism in the now Dfw area. Guests who would have either been burned at the stake or hung for their "crimes," enjoyed a lavish stay in the gothic style mansion right off of modern day Preston rd. Today, Hotel Carmilla is open to all and is run by a 23rd generation Reznikov by the name of Valeska. Valeska and her staff work day in and night out to provide the utmost of care for all hotel guests. Each and every guest recieves an experience that could only be described as "to die for," and Valeska has also curated each room to reflect vampiric prominence in popular culture. With rooms like the Cullen Suite or the Bram Stoker Suite. The Hotel Carmilla also offers several amenities such as spa treatments, room service, housekeeping, guest events, and more. Our hotel even houses our very own stakehouse, Bloodsuckers. Bloodsuckers offers a variety of cuisines but most notably traditional Romanian style dishes with a menu curated by our award-winning chef, Iva Borisnova. You can also stop by our gift shop/ candy store, Transylvanian Treats, while we get you checked in and out.
